I just finished putting this together and am amazed at how sturdy it is. No tools were needed but would use a rubber mallet if you have one. I really love the extender bars and the adjustable height. Most of all I love how sturdy it is. It will hold coats and sweaters with ease. I am considering getting another one.

I was optimistic when I received and assembled this garment rack. It looks good and felt stable -- when empty.
However, it collapsed the first time I used it, shattering the plastic parts and bending the bottom metal rails. I had put about 30 hangers of clothing on it, which has just about half full, but clearly beyond the weight capacity.

Am having a holiday party and didn't want to have to take coats upstairs to the spare bedrooms where people had to dig when ready to leave. Saw a suggestion of purchasing a coat rack and am so glad I did! Very easy to assemble and very unobtrusive - know it will serve perfectly for the party!

Product arrived quickly. I assembled one of the units, which was quite easy,and discovered that the upper rack is flimsy and I am concerned that it really won't last long for us in our children's area. I will probably return the unopened unit and buy the assembled unit for my home. I think it would make a great home unit.
