An easy 5 STARS! A coat rack seems to be a rather innocuous item--until you find yourself really needing one. The reason I decided to buy a coat rack was because I got sick and tired of digging into the closet every time I wanted a coat or cap. It occurred to me that things would be infinitely more convenient if I could have a coat rack outside the closet door, and on this coat rack would be those things that I ordinarily wear during any particular season. I live in a suburb of Des Moines, Iowa, and the weather varies wildly from one season to the next. If we use the fall and winter as an example, in the early fall I wear a light jacket. But during some of those early fall days, the weather can get pretty chilly. So it makes sense to hang both a light jacket and a heavier jacket on the clothes rack. I also like caps. A coat rack makes possible a variety of caps without having to dig into the closet to sort through them. A coat rack won't take the place of the capacity of your closet, but how many of those jackets and coats and caps and scarves hanging in our closet do we actually use?So I went looking for an attractive clothes rack. I found it in the Adesso stainless steel model. The rack is very attractive, very sturdy, and has a very stable base. I hang on it those coats and caps that I use regularly during a particular season, and my troubles with constantly digging into my closet have simply vanished.What don't I like about this clothes rack? Absolutely nothing. For [$] you can't possibly do better than this rack. Not unless you want some fancy antique model made from Oak. I wanted a rack that worked well, and this works well. My only suggestion is that when you start putting it together, (an Allen wrench is supplied to make screwing the pegs on very easy), before you actually place the pegs on the pole and then try to line up the screws with the peg holes and the screw holes on the pole, first screw them in without the peg in place. This action allows you to clean up the threads on both the screws and the pole, ultimately making it much easier to turn in the screws when you have the peg lined up. It only increases your assembly time by a little bit, and you will be far less frustrated when you're finished. The pole comes in three sections, and putting those together is a real snap. It also makes it easier to screw the pegs onto its section rather than having to fight with a long pole. Once the pegs are installed on its section, just line up the pole grooves of a section, push the sections together, and then turn the upper section slightly so it locks in place. Nothing could possibly be easier. The base is a bit heavy, which is a good thing, but if you are not very muscular, you might need to have someone help you with this. Still, people with normal strength will have no problem with this at all.I never thought I would ever buy a coat rack. But now that I have, I'm glad I bought this particular model.[...] assembly was very simple.
