I purchased this coat rack because I was tired of not having a place in our home to hang coats, coveralls, etc. I am very please with this coat rack. It is very sturdy and it was easy to assemble and I loved the fact that it already had pilot holes for the screws! One of our son's saw it and made the comment that he wished they had one, so I just ordered him one for next Christmas! I will be checking this web site during the year, all the kids may get one for Christmas!

This coat rack looks very nice and works great. My only problem was that the threaded insert that is used to screw the top half of the rack into the bottom half, stripped out while assembling it. Perhaps I applied too much torque while screwing them together but I didn't think so. Anyhow, I had to use wood glue to securely place the threaded insert back in place to screw the two halve's together. It does bend slightly at the center but that's probably from not wanting to screw the two halve's together too tightly and stripping out the insert again. Other than that, the rack has worked great and feels very stable (as far as the base is concerned).

The item is good looking, shipped timely, and perfect size. However, upon assebly of the two major parts, the screw was stripped upon arrival. We had to permanentlty glue the two pieces together. We would have returned it for a new one, but too much hassle. Hopefully it will never have to be moved as it can not be taken apart.
